Hong Kong star singer Eason Chan rehearsed for his “Moving on Stage” concert on Saturday at Beijing Workers’ Stadium.

The singer appeared to be quite excited to be back in Beijing after his gig here last year.An energetic Chan danced all the way onto the stage after he entered the stadium during his rehearsal, according to a report on the web portal Sina.com.

Chan, who said he wanted to give a perfect performance in each part of the show, sang and danced at his full potential during the rehearsal. He showed his incredible impersonation skills in mimicking the signature styles of other performers when singing their songs.

During the show on Saturday night, Chan will imitate some of the most well-know pop singers in Hong Kong’s music industry, including Andy Lau, Aaron Kowk, Jacky Cheung, Leon Lai, Leslie Cheung and Alan Tam.

Media reports say Chan also will do the moonwalk as a tribute to Michael Jackson during the show.

Chan had donated two tickets for a couple of the best seats at his Beijing performance to be auctioned online with the proceeds going to the Chinese Athletes Educational Foundation, according to previous reports.

Widely acclaimed as one of the most dominant male singers and a leader in the Hong Kong music scene, Chan has been crowned at many music events in the past decade. His chart toppers include “Ten Years,” “King of KTV” and “Love Transfer,” all of which are karaoke favorites for the mainland Chinese.

Chan started his “Moving on Stage” World Tour in February 2008 in Hong Kong.

As it is only hours before Chan’s concert begins, his fans have already started heading to the venue to enjoy a wonderful night of music and wild fun. They are looking forward to a star-studded lineup as Chan is well-known for his good relations with fellow singers.
