Last night, Edison made a secret appearance on “Artists 88 Fund Raising Campaign”, facing 200 million audiences. As Edison’s status is sensitive, he suffered pressure from TVB. At the very last minute TVB did not let Edison make an appearance at the event, causing the Edison who came back from the States especially to attend this event, he come back for nothing.
There were more than 300 artistes who attended the fund raiser last night, part of the Artistes Association Eric Tsang expressed yesterday in the press conference: “We estimated that the amount of people who would attend the show would be 17,000. As the show would be airing in different countries and online, we estimate that there will be about 200 million viewers watching.” Yesterday at 11:30pm, the show ended with HKD 50,904,68 raised.
Originally Edison Chen was going to attend the fund raising too, the Artists Association tried to help him, but TVB Executives did not allow him to be a participant, they weren’t hoping to see a charity event turn into some anger show.
