UNICEF ambassador Miriam went to Yunan Yao’an province for charity visit. She held a press conference to share her experience during this 3 days trip.
She didn’t go deep to the disaster area due to safety problem, but had gone up to hills more than 3000 meters high. “Luckily the children were on holiday and not in the classrooms during the earthquake. The adults had gone to the fields. However, many houses have collapsed. We brought daily necessities and teaching materials for the children. School reopens in a month! I have many experience before this trip and will bring along medicine for asthma. Luckily it didn’t relapse, just become tanned! (Did boyfriend remind her to be careful?) I’m 30 over and know how to take care of myself! (Did Real Ting remind her to bring asthma medicine?) I had been a nurse!” To promote charity, she’ll ask her friends to go visit too, but this trip needed permits so only 4 from Hong Kong and 4 from Beijing UNICEF had gone for this trip.
Miriam mentioned there’s problems with her vocal chord and will be going to see the doctor, “Doctor asked me to talk loudly but I’m worried that 3 years old kid will say that I’m retarded!” Is there a need for surgery? “No need! It’s only strain. Doctor asked me to rest and practice making sound, perhaps I can talk with falsetto!”
